As part of the Big Draw 2004, I divided classes of school children (7-10 yr olds) into pairs. One child wore a mask, while the other one closely observed and then drew the eyes, nose and mouth showing through onto a print-out of the same mask. The creative variations on this simple theme were made even more apparent when the children coloured in the mask. These are a few of my own favourites.
